Like it very much with one caution.

I like the large size of the screen.

It is very user friendly

My wife uses it as an ambulance driver to find locations of her calls. Instead of giving the town names from 911 dispatched calls, they give only the names of the Townships and Municipalities.

I was concerned this would not work by not giving the names of the towns, but it does. It works great.

When we enter the township name and street address. it takes to the location we were dispatched to.

This unit works much better and easier then the webcad information provided provided by the county emergency services.

Big disappointment for Magellan is that to down load updates and new street maps and update information you either have to buy updates for a year for $49.00 or for $99.00 a lifetime of updates.

Had I known this before buying the Magellan I might have checked into other brands. Before making my decision to buy Magellan.

The fact is you don't find this out till after purchase.

Over all it's use is great. Fees not so great.

Great unit

Easy to use very accurate

The new version of Magellan roadmate extremely hard to use compared to the older unit. I sent the newer unit back and purchased this one.

Used magellan 1700 gps with a dead battery

I bought it used an got it totally dead, works great an has a lot of great features when it is connected to the charger, won't know how it works when its not connected till i charge it fully.

It's the best gps on the market
