An amazing HD camcorder with quality video, zoom, controls, and features.

This is rather a large camcorder by consumer standards, but is remarkably good in quality, features, and ease of use. The HD video is spectacular, and the focus (as well as other manual features) are good and easy. At 10x optical zoom, this camcorder isn't bad, but I must say that the 20x digital zoom on top of that produces the best quality I've ever seen in a digital zoom. Generally, digital zoom makes your picture pixelated and blurry, but the zoom on this creates incredibly smooth video, and retains for the most part the niceness of the video. The Nightshot is superb, and works far better than in camcorders like the Bell and Howell DNV900HD. I was able to see at least 6-9 feet with no additional infrared lighting. With Super Nightshot, I was probably able to see a good 30 feet, but the picture is jerky and unusable. The high-speed mode is good (in that it retains quality) but it's a shame it can only shoot 3-second clips in that mode. Audio and everything else is good. The touchscreen works fine. Powerful, Compact, Perfect

I've wanted one of these for 3 years and I finally got my hands on one and guess what? It Rocks my Socks. Powerful, cool and compact. This lil camera is perfect for anything aside from shooting a Hollywood film. Has slots for attachments and has a huge CMOS LCD screen. What does CMOS mean IDK But I can shoot video on the beach and actually see what I am shooting on the LCD. Twilight shots are awesome and the Nightshot is a cool feature that Sony has discontinued on their product... I love this awsome camcorder

I love this camcorders quality and the fact it stores on a flash card. It's HD quality is as good as I've seen. I like it's handy size also. I bought this one as it had a nightshot IR setting. It works great in total darkness. I would definately recommend if you want a camcorder that stores on a flash card.Read full review...
