No grill covers

These speakers don't come with full covers. Beware. Some photos show grills but only the tweeter has a cover. They sound good in my motorcycle faring. Overall good.

Yawn! There's got to be something better.

I fried one of the OEM speakers in my Valkyrie IS last week. All the reviews I read from people replacing their Honda speakers with these were 4 and 5 star. Well, I'm just not that impressed, it's hard to say these are even as good as the Honda speakers were. Installation was pretty simple, some minor mods necessary but nothing too technical, I also sealed them to the baffles with RTV just so I wouldn't have any issues (air leaks, etc.). They sound okay but I can't see any real improvement over what was there originally. I can't say for certain that the OEM's weren't better!Read full review...

Polk Audio db501 speakers

I bought these speakers for the fairing on my motorcycle. They fit great and sound even better. The only problem I have with these speakers, is that Polk Audio does not make grills them. There are a lot of companies that do make speaker grills, but few for a 5" speaker, most make them for 5.25" speakers. After many trips to different music stores and countless hours searching online sights, I finally found a sight that made grills to order. It would have been a lot easier and cheaper if Polk Audio would have made grills to fit.Read full review...

Polk: the better way to go

Speakers are installed in an '04 Honda Goldwing - both front and back. Sound is supurb, and with a 'marine grade' construction, I don't have to worry about them taking water. The installation requires one slight modification: the mounting holes didn't match the factory locations and needed to become 'slots' rather than holes with washers under the mounting screws to install. Simple fix for a great product and sound. Volune at speed is very acceptable without distortion.Read full review...
