Great GPS Product

1. Maps, it plots coarses in a quick manner
2. Scree, I have not had issues with any glare coming from it as others have described.
3. POI could be better. For instance, searched for Costco in hometown and it was not there. However, the 2 other Costco in my area were listed. Very Strange.
4. Love the auto Day/Night Mode
5. Text to speech hard to understand at times. This depends on how much it has to say. Oh not every turn street name is annouced for turns, etc. For instance instead of turn right on Broadway, it might say turn right in 2 blocks.
6. Free traffice alerts. This is hit and miss. It might be better in other areas, but I live in the Bay Area with lots of hills, etc and the reception can be spotty at times. It also seems to report some slow traffic, but not others. For instance, I was driving home last night and I hit a long stretch of slow traffic, but never once did I get a warning. It took me 45 minutes to travel about 17 miles. But I was listening to radio traffic alerts and none of them reported this either. Google Maps traffic still seems to be the finest app out there regarding traffic conditions.
7. Realty Lane Assist - this comes in very handy as it will display forks in the freeway and tell you which one to be in.
Would I buy the product again? Yes, I would in a heartbeat. For the price of the unit, you would be hard pressed to find a TOMTOM or Garmin that has the same feature set.Read full review...

Nextar 43LT GPS System is AWESOME!!!~EXCELLENT VALUE!!!

I was leary of the low, low price but have wanted a GPS system for awhile now. When this became available as a Deal of The Day on eBay, my husband said to get it (a belated Valentine's Day gift)& I got the chance to use it when my daughter was taken to a hospital in a town 60 miles away. I took it out of the box, plug it into the car receptacle, made a few basic inputs, the name & city of the hospital & we were on our way!!! I was amazed! It was so easy. I really didn't expect it to work without a lot of set-up instructions, etc. We made it to that hospital in 48 minutes & I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this Nextar brand to all my family & friends. If the price is still this low, I might just have to buy my sister one for her birthday this month! I am THRILLED with mine.

Price was right. Very adequate system, easy to use and well made. Provides solid, basic information. Vendor svc was timely.

My first GPS!

What does GPS stand for? This was my first GPS and I had to drive through Iowa, and then go to Chicago. It was fantastic, and saved me a lot of stress. It was never wrong, even when I did circles in a parking lot. Only one problem, when I was in Chicago, and "Sue's" Angelic voice said, "you have arrived at your destination", she didn't say what side of the street. inexpensive nextar 43L GPS

The stylus is a very good feature. The fact that you have to hook up an antenna to get traffic is not so good. The directions seem pretty accurate, but as with most GPS devices, there is a better way to go in some instances. The price was great and that made it alright.Read full review...

Great deal; works well and is as advertised. Wanted a gps that was inexpensive but did not jeopardize losing functions. Even in the country, the gps is accurate. Battery life is short but came with wall and cigarette lighter adapter.Read full review...

Love it!

Frist; the price was right and the features were just what I wanted and more.
The 3-D display looks great and the "your over the speed limmit" warming keeps me in check. If I had it to do all over again I woould buy the Nextar 43LT on e-bay again.

Why not another Nextar.....?

My decision to purchase the GPS was not earth shaking....we have three cars and only one Nextar. Moving it from vehicle to another vehicle was a chore, and an often forgotten task....noted when traveling and realizing the unit was in the other road car. So....purchasing an additional unit for the other one of the two primary road vehicles was a "no brainer". We like the Nextar we already had, so the decision to purchase another was quite automatic.
