LOVE New Super Mario Bros. Wii!!! ;--0

I absolutely LOVE playing New Super Mario Bros Wii!!! It takes me back a bit to when I'd used to play Super Mario Bros. 3- or whichever one I'd be playing- on the original Nintendo Entertainment System. Except of course, in my opinion- the graphics are so much better & I love the Wii anyways!!! It's very similar to some of the other Mario Bros. games, except w' new items- like the Propellor Suit & Penguin Suit. Also, Super Guide w' Luigi- when you need the help on a tough course- is very nice. Overall- this game is SO wonderful & fun & very much exceeds my expectations. Thanks very much again & please take care!!!Read full review...

Perfection

Nintendo has a knack for making games SO polished, they're just fun no matter how you look at them. Some people might be jaded about it, but the Mario series deserves some respect for being one of the longest-running and most successful gaming series' in the history of mankind. (I really don't know; I just made that up... But it sounds good, right?)

This particular installment really caught my attention. It's like playing all of he old side-scrolling platform Mario games, but with gorgeous graphics, brilliant sound and super slick gameplay. The worlds are very clever and pretty, the enemies are quirky and challenging, and the overall game is simply addictive. If you are new to the Mario franchise, this is as good a place to start as any!

Definite buy if you own a Wii, play with friends, great game!

I bought this game for my girlfriend and I to play on our new Wii console. We were not disappointed. It is what a Wii game should be. It has the old school feel of Mario Bros. with updated graphics and capabilities. It is a definite buy for Wii owners that enjoy games that can be played by yourself or with others. The game's difficulty level goes from relaxing to frustrating in just a matter of levels. This leads to a lot of dying and having to "Continue" constantly. Nintendo sticks with what game the worldwide phenomenon. It has elements of what made the series so popular, it feels like another episode in the franchise. Overall, a 4/5, the drawback being the difficulty level. I can't imagine how kids can play this for a while without throwing their Wii remotes down once or twice. Hope you have friends to help you beat the game, and pray that they don't get in your way.Read full review...

Where was this game 15 years ago? Still could be better

Like- I always wanted a simultaneous co-op Mario side scrolling game. It combines mario 3 and world with walking around worlds and using collected items before stages (I did not find a flute yet :P). it has some new items which replaced others from previous Marios.

Dislike- you bump into each other, I think they should have made it so you go through each other (you have to watch out more for your team mates then the bad guys :P) or at least have the option to turn this on or off.

Gimme some screen! You can be killed if one moves on and the screen always follows whoever is in the lead so if your stuck behind and the screen leaves you DEAD!I think it should widen more.

WORST PART OF THE GAME: Whenever one grabs a mushroom/power up or gets hit and shrinks, the game does the freeze/transformation and this cancels out whatever move others are doing so if your trying to make a huge jump and your friend grabs a shroom or gets hit and shrinks it can make your jump not so high or even cancel the jump.

Also I think they should have used the 3rd and 4th player characters Daisy (the other princess) and real Toad.

Best advice the A button puts u in a bubble in multiplayer mode so if your about to die use it! (but be careful not to all use the bubble as that is instant lose)

This game is fun hands down and will bring laughs (for better or worse)

ONE OF THR BEST MARIO BROS. GAMES!!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this New Super Mario Bros. game and we haven't stopped playing since it arrived! 2 people can play together without a split screen which is a much nicer way to play multiple people! I also love that you have the option of just using the controller by itself or with the nunchuck which makes learning to control the movea and powers quick. I give this a 10 out of 10 and a must have for us Mario lovers and anyone who loves a fun yet challenging game!!!Read full review...

LOVE this game!!!

This game is so great! Reminiscent of the original Mario Bros games, but all-new levels and unexpected encounters, making it challenging, but fun to play! The multi-player options are so awesome! You can play with up to four players on the same screen at the same time. I also love the coin battle levels! The game has the continue option like the original NES Mario Bros 3, so if you get a game over you can just continue from in the same world, not having to start the whole game over. I also love all the new types of power ups! I am very happy with this game. It is my new favorite!

Super Mario Bros 5

As an adult. I am enjoying this Mario Wii game! This game takes some of the features from Mario 1, mario 3 and Mario world, AND even Mario 64! Examples from Mario 1 is the pole mario slides on at end of each round with fireworks sometimes. Examples from Mario 3 are the extra power up items like the helicopter hat, fireballs and how game maps of current world! Examples of Mario World is Yoshi and the graphics. Examples of Mario 64 is the wall kicks etc.

If you loved Mario 3 and Mario World, youll LOVE this game.

BUT what I can say about this game, when I first heard about this game coming in 11-09, I thought is was going to be 3D! (like Mario 64) But was a little disappointed when I learned its a 2D instead! (takes awy points from MY rating) Oh Well. Im still liking the game anyway. Ill just wait til they come up with the Mario Galaxy 2, sometime in 2010. Ill be the FIRST to get Mario Galaxy 2 when it comes out LOL LOL!

New Super Mario Bros. Wii

Finished playing the first and second Super Mario Galaxy games, as well as Super Mario Sunshine, so I ordered a copy of this. Very fun! The 2.5-D gameplay makes it an interesting and enjoyable experience, paying homage to the older 2-D Super Mario games. Would recommend buying a copy of this.Read full review...

A Modern Classic

New Super Mario Bros Wii is almost 15 years old and holds up very well. The music with enemies dancing to it and making an very memorable experience. Back in the day I wasn't sure it would hold up well like the nes and snes mario games. However having played through it again this year I can say time has been very kind and it holds up great. A true blue must play wii game.Read full review...
