BEST VALUE FOR THE DOLLAR IN A/V RECEIVERS

I've owned Marantz gear in the past and was very pleased with it. But since the advent of surround sound, I've been reluctant to change out my old 2 channel amp, preamp, etc. A new home prewired for surround sound forced the issue for me to look for a 7.1 receiver. I did a LOT of research on Sony, Denon, NAD and my old friend Marantz. The Marantz 4001 had just the right amount of power that I needed. When I hooked everything up and turned it on, I was amazed at the clarity and three dimensional imaging that the Marantz produces, even on a stereo CD recording. This product certainly lives up to the Marantz reputation established back in the 1960s and 1970s. YOU'RE GONNA JUST LOVE THIS!!!!

WELL, IF YOU'RE READING THIS, THEN YOU AREN'T AN AUDIOPHILE. I WILL SAY THIS: NEITHER AM I. AND UNLESS YOU ARE, YOU'RE GONNA JUST LOVE THIS. IT IS THE LOW-END MARANTZ, HAS LIKE 80 WATTS PER CHANNEL BUT THIS THING HAS MORE BELLS AND WHISTLES THAN A WHOLE FLEET OF TRAINS!

THE MARANTZ NAME IS VERY, VERY GOOD. YOU COULD BUY A MUCH HIGHER PRICE STEROID-RIDDEN STEREO, BUT, IF YOUR ROOM IS NOT BIGGER THAN A 12'X12' ROOM, THIS IS PERFECT FOR YOU. ALL THE DOLBY STUFF, DIGITAL THING-EES AND OF COURSE, THAT CRYSTAL CLEAR MARANTZ QUALITY SOUND YOUR EARS YEARN FOR. I USE MINE FOR GAMING ONLY (A VERY OCCASIONAL MOVIE) AND I WOULDN'T TRADE THIS FOR ANYTHING!!!

AS I SAID, IT HAS ALL THE DOLBY DECODERS, DIGITAL DECODERS, AND THE QUALITY IS TO BE SERIOUSLY RECKONED WITH! ALONG WITH THIS, IS AN ARRAY OF OTHER SOUND SETTINGS. WANT MUSIC? THE ADVERTISEMENT SAYS THAT THE "VIRTUAL" SETTING ADDS A NEW DEPTH TO YOUR FAVORITE MUSIC...BOY....DOES IT!! IT HAS A REGULAR STEREO SETTING BUT THE "SURROUND SOUD" IS WHERE THIS BABY REALLY SHINES!!

THE REMOTE IS A "QUICK-LEARNING" AND EASY TO USE. WHAT THAT MEANS IS: THE SAME REMOTE THAT CONTROLS YOUR STEREO CAN ALSO BE USED WITH YOUR DVD PLAYER, TELEVISION, EQUALIZER, ETC..WHEN MARANTZ DOES SOMETHING, IT IS THE HIGHEST QUALITY!

Now I have my house, and after a a problematic panasonic home theater I decided go back to the winner team. i have a old vintage marantz stereo (model 27) and i think the sound is more powerful that in this receiver, anyways the receiver is ok ...
