Intel Celeron E3200 2.4 GHz Processor

Great processor when matched with a MSI G31TM-P21 FRYS Electronics has a great deal on them both.

The processor is very overclockable! I wish Intel would of included a copper core heat sink but you cant get everything! I have gotten mine to 3192MHZ with a 266 FSB with stock cooling.

For about $45 on ebay why would you pay more for the other processors? Gaming!

The Celeron processors are made on the same silicone but the don't have as much L2 cache. What is that that? It built in memory that feeds data to the CPU allowing it to run to it maximum speed. The more L2 cache the less time is spent waiting for the system to feed the CPU.

Its all relative to us humans as we see time in hours and minutes electronics see time in micro-seconds and milla-seconds.

Yes more L2 will make a faster CPU but unless you know you need it you probally dont!

Save a few bucks and buy the CPU!!!!

Just Right for a Home theatre system

I used this CPU for my home theatre system and was amazed at the performance of this CPU, even though it only has 1Mb Cache it still browses, surfs plays movies, and never had any problems. Obviously not for gamming, if you want a cheap CPU for Gamming go with a Pentium Dual Core (3.0GHz/800FSB/4m cache) you can get those cheap on ebayor for alittle more $$, E6600 Core 2 Duo (2.4 GHz 1066FSB/4M cache) I have owned all and now I currently use My E6600 for BattleField Bad Company 2 but also have a 9800GTX+ graphics card and super extreme performace memory (4GB DDR2 1000 PC2 8000) but if you just want a stable PC to browse surf what a few movies pay some bills This Celeron will not let you down with the 45nm architecture these CPU are very energy efficient and low heat, so you could leave them running 24-7

The Newer i-3,i-5,and i-7 CPU's are Fast but I seem to be fine with what I currently have now.

The Q9000 series CPU's (socket 775), specialy the ones with 12m cache are about the eqivalent to the i7 series CPU's I have also owned the Q9550 as well but they are to much for what I really need so I sold it reverting back to the E6600

I believe PC's are like Cars, Drive them till the wheels fall off.

Thank You for taking the time to read My Review. Hope this has helped you in your decision on purchasing a CPU for your needs.

Great little devil

This CPU is quite a nifty one for being called a Celeron, 1 MB cache might be on lower side, but it can handle pretty much everything thrown at it, and does support Virtualization. Worth every penny. I availed Bing cashback and got it for $36 :DRead full review...

Intel Celeron Dual Core E3200 2.40GHz

Great medium speed processor that runs cool. Outperforms many Core 2 Duos and Pentiums. Don't let the Celeron name fool you.
