Nice device, slow processor

I went from the LG Fathom with the 1ghz Snapdragon processor to the 528Mhz Qualcomm processor in the Touch Pro2, so it wasn't fair, but it still was too slow for me. If there were going to put all that touch sense stuff in there, they should've had a much faster processor. The features on the phone are simply awesome, but the speed restricts the fun.

The battery life is great and the touch screen is ultra sensitive, it doesn't even feel like a resistive touch screen. The zoom bar is extremely nice and the keyboard is the best out there.

If you want a windows mobile device on Verzion, I would suggest the LG Fathom. The screen is a little smaller and the keyboard isn't the greatest, but it is 10 times faster and it has the more updated 6.5.3 version of Windows Mobile. Just remember to update the Fathom to get threaded texting.

HTC TOUCH PRO VERIZON

This phone is great it has an on-screen keyboard for texting,a slide out keyboard, & threaded messaging. It doesnt come with an instant message app but you can download it from verizons app store. The phone is touch screen its pretty accurate
but it gets a little slow depending on how many programs are running.

Camera-4/5 with flash capture delayed
KeyBoards-5/5 Both are great
Touch Wheel-5/5
The Charge-On 50% lasts about 5 hours of constant texting,face-booking,games, & taking pics as ive found using it today.
Windows Mobile-Not the best for this phone i dont mind it but its not needed
Youtube-Download codecs from windows to play them.
Lock Button-2/5 Constantly unlocks in pockets cause its on top of the phone and super sensitve,

All in all i love this phone so far im really picky with phones but this one seems to be great for texting, internet browsing, games, pics, & phone calls in a days charge.

Slow

I was specifically looking for a phone with a slide QWERTY keyboard that was new and since they don't really make them anymore, this looked like a good option. The seller was great.

However, the battery life on this phone is pretty terrible mostly because once it opens a program it starts eating more battery life and if you don't close EACH TIME then you'll just have this phone on charge all day. I don't even do that much with it, mostly texting and no internet.

The screen is small and doesn't really work well with finger touches so you have to use the supplied stylus (which fits nicely into the phone w/ a magnetic catch).

The phone portion of the, well, phone doesn't have great service and the speaker phone is very quiet which doesn't help since I use that often when calling.

This phone is kind of what Microsoft thought a smart phone should be back in the 2009 or so but it's a jack of all trades and master of none :)

I'll keep this is a back up phone but will get something like an LG Ally or Samsung Brightside.

Good Phone

Along with its keyboard-free sibling, the HTC Touch Diamond, the Touch Pro has an impressive feature set. Perhaps the most important feature is its VGA screen, which provides a higher-resolution display than the QVGA screens in use today on Windows Mobile smartphones. Other features include the Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional OS, TouchFLO 3D,, a 3MP camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, EV-DO mobile broadband, and GPS.Read full review...

Still not sure

I am on the fence with this phone. There are some things i like about the phone and alot of things i dont like. I like the price of the phone, the size and shape of the phone. What i dont like is how complicated the phone is. I was not aware that is like an actual mini computer. Im used to just texting and dialing. I cant just pick up and dial with it. This phone uses a stylus has many features, folders, applications, and so forth. I have to tap what program i want to go to with the stylus and sometimes the stylus responds slowly. I guess with some time i will get use to it. The battery life is pretty good and very good call clarity. All in all this phone is ok i really would not recommend this phone to anyone. Use at your own risk!Read full review...

HTC Touch Pro2 (Daily-Listings)

The HTC Touch Pro2 for Verizon Network as for the mobile carrier the data network and voice network are really strong making calls seamless with no drop calls. As for the device hardware it has a bulky heavy design, compared to other mobile devices and lack of performance has slightly turn me away from this phone. But right out of the box it has all the tools you need from great task manager to calendar to contact list but the performance lacks maybe because of it software HTC Dedicated Theme System or Windows Mobile it self. For these purposes I give them a average rating for it has not provided a wow factor as it is compared to other similar phones. (Daily-Listings / Netius.org)Read full review...

Great phone! Wifi could have been better...

The phone is a great phone. I bought it as a back up phone for when my Droid gives up. I enjoy the feeling while using the phone. The UI is appealing when you turn on the Touch Flow theme. I don't like how there isn't a Youtube player or how it doesn't connect to wifi very well. The video quality isn't the best either. But the Opera browser installed is amazing! Better than Internet Explorer mobile.Read full review...

HTC Desire (Droid Eris)

Could be a little faster, but pretty awesome to say the least.

Been a loyal palm user since the black and white screened treo... BUT, glad I converted. Only had the phone 1 day and it's already proving itself to be an amazing business tool. I wish it didn't require a SD Card to use the pic/video/music features, but who really cares? It's better to have your media saved on a card and leave the on-board memory for processing applications. Good purchase.Read full review...

The Most Underated Smart Phone

For the business or power user there simply is no better smart phone. The quality of the slide out keyboard alone would make this a must have for people who wish to manage word processing documents or spread sheets. I do my PowerPoint presentations from the device eliminating the necessity for my laptop in slash and burn situations. Even with Documents to Go the Android and IPhones are limited in this capacity. The phone aspect of the Touch Pro2 now surpasses the quality of the IPhone. Reception has always been a Verizon strong point, but the workability of the Touch Pro2 makes Verizon a pleasure to use. The volume level of the earpiece is now one of the best in the industry and the speakerphone quality is the best among the smart phones I have used. My Touch Pro2 was flashed with the newer Windows Mobile 6.5 but I am not sure if it is an improvement over 6.1 which worked fine in my older HTC products. HTC's tweaking of either 6.1 or 6.5 makes for a better experience than other Pocket PC products. All in all, even though Windows Mobile is an older application, it still does important business applications better than any other OS. If you want to pose, you are better off with an IPhone. If you want to work, get a Touch Pro2.Read full review...

The HTC Ozone is great!

I researched many different Smartphones before deciding on the HTC Ozone. I'm so happy I did my research. The HTC Ozone is very easy to use, and has everything I want from easy text messaging to internet messaging services, multiple system views and sound settings, and the call sound quality is great. I just hope that the next upgraded version to the Ozone includes an upgrade to the 2.0 megapixel camera function. That's the only thing that I'm not excited about which is probably because my previous phone had a 3.2 megapixel camera that had quality as good or better than some digital cameras!Read full review...
