Low cost high speed

This is a true high speed camera. It shoots 1000 fps and each frame is 1/1000 sec exposure.

I'm a physics teacher and highly recommend this camera. At $200 MSRP it's the lowest cost way to get high speed video. Great science. Students have a hard time with strobe flashes understanding science. With this camera (and it's more expensive cousins) seeing is believing and students "get it" better.

Con: lousy photography and video. If you're an artistic purist, you'll be disappointed. It's photo quality is like any other point-and-shoot camera grandma stuffs in her purse.

Another con: You need lots of light. I have to design a light box using a couple fluorescent shop lights (130 W - equivalent to 650 W incandescent and cooler). This is an expected downside of high speed photography - it's not the camera's fault. It may work OK in bright sunlight - I haven't tried that yet.

this camera is very compact and the features are very easy to use.
my friends thought that i was using a professional camera. but im suing this.
pictures are rich and clear. using slow motion is fun and a new experience eventhough the resolution is not that great but for this value, youll get great pictures plus you have the slow motion to play with.Read full review...

Canon FS10 in use

I bought one about 2 years ago. My son used it to make a couple of videos for his website before his untimely death this year--age 47. The remote capability for this unit is unique in the price class and very convenient. I bought a second unit on eBay for use by a pastor who makes mission trips to South America. Again, the remote is an important factor. The units have performed well and it is relatively easy to make DVDs from the videos.Read full review...

Great camera for the price

I bought this in 2010 and I could not be happier with it. The photos are fantastic - no one can believe I get photos this great from an inexpensive camera.
The only draw back I can see is battery life. I recommend always having several charged batteries with you.Read full review...

Wow, the slow motion HD video is great for so cheap!

This is a must have for sports training. The slow motion HD video is perfect for golf and baseball mechanics coaching. The screen is small but very clear, shows everything you need to see.

Great for your golf swing

This is the only camera in the under $200 price range capable of capturing high speed video. The camera can capture footage at as many as 1000 fps but the 210 fps capability is plenty clear and perfect for sport applications.Read full review...
