Much BETTER than CARS!!
I purchased Cars for my family, and we found many problems with the game; For instance, we never could get "boost" to operate. Don't know why, contacted the maker of the game, and were very unhappy with it's features.
Then I purchased Mater-National and was thrilled with the results! It is very similar to Cars, and all the functions of this game worked! It has mini-stories, races, multi-player function and is great for children. It is family-oriented and appropriate for even young children.
It is a little difficult to play, for young children though, because there is so much going on around the character that the player chose. There isn't a lot of "up-close" action, where the children can focus on ONE task and not be distracted by other characters, obstacles, etc...
In short, it is great for young school-age children and up, AND, my husband loves the hard-core, testosterone-filled games, and he LOVES Mater National too!! The whole family can play together and is just challenging enough for later beginners to intermediate players.Read full review...
Cars Mater-National
I bought this game for my son who is almost 3. He loves the movie Cars. The game is easy for kids to play and very forgiving. In the story mode, you can drive everywhere, the roads, the desert, and building parking lots. So it doesn't really matter if the player can't stay on the road. If you crash, the car just bounces back a little and then goes again; no slow delays getting back to the action.Read full review...
Great for kids
The kids really like this game. The graphics are pretty good. If your kids enjoyed the movie they will enjoy this game. My 5 year old has a little trouble with it.
Cars Mater-National (XBOX 360)
I love this game. This was the perfect gift for my son. He has been playing Cars on the Xbox 360 and once we saw Mater National we knew it would be perfect for him. Excellent game!
My son has many Xbox 360 games but this is his favorite one. I don't think he ever gets tired of playing this game. He has other racing games but he keeps going back to this one. It is fun and easy to play !!Read full review...
Great game for the kids...
I would say this is a good game for the kids, I mean come on its Cars, what child would not like it, not personally the game lacks all kinds of items, but for a child they will not care.

very fun game for kids. kid of challenging for younger kids though, have to unlock a lot of things before being able to use them and thats almost impossible for smaller children.

Great game. My grandkids love it!! I bought it because CARS is still very popular with youngsters. The game is easy enough for them to play alone

Good game for kids lots to do beside just race. I believe my grandson will love this game. bad thing I havent seen a racing multiplayer with this game
