Finding GOOD used EF Lenses- CAN be done~!~

I recently had been seeking a 24mm EF Lens for my 630 EOS Canon. I was very lucky to find HONEST Sellers on E-bay as I have with Many Sellers , but dave_renee were GREAT & are quite willing to help me learn how to really use this Lens to its best ability & the Price was GREAT too. I LOVE this Lens for Flower shots & Detail. Its Clear ,FAST , Good in Low Light situations & best of all it came as New from a second owner. I am looking into the New 50D Canon DSLR & ALL these EF Lenses WILL fit from my 630 EOS Canon & thats a HUGE Plus +++++!!! I have to agree with Dave though. Its NOT about the High Dollar Lenses , but in KNOWING how to use what you have to its best potential !! I cant afford the L' series Lens , so learning HOW to get the most out of what I have CAN & WILL produce shots equal to the High Dollar L'Lens ( I hope..'lol') I hope Canon makes these a bit more affordable to people , considering the hard times we ALL face in todays economy ! , if so , I will then upgrade maybe to a BIG Zoom Lens. Thank You & have fun out there taking Paper Memories ( or Digital ones too) its the best way to always have yesterdays !! once again , Thank You , Lori aka: sheltydream62 on e-bayRead full review...

Very useful, compact, and fun to use !

This lens is a great compact lens. If you wanted to travel as light as possible, this is a great choice. It is wide enough for scenic shots, and great for street and distorted people shots. I wish this version had an Ultrasonic motor, but for the price, I can live with the buzzy motor. It also gives you an extra stop of useable light. The sharpness is still good wide open, but stopped down to f5.6 it is great. I have no regrets buying this lens, especially since I just got a 5D !Read full review...

Underrated gem

this is an excellent underrated lens. It is less popular now because it does not have image stabilization. This is not really an issue with a wide angle lens and I get very sharp images at 1/30 second exposure.Read full review...

Canon FD 24mm ƒ2.8 wide angle lens

This is a great prime lens for a camera that accepts FD mount lenses. 24mm works great for indoor and group photos as well as fun handheld self ports. ƒ2.8 is fast enough to take decent shots in lower light.Read full review...

An oldie but a goodie

While an old lens it has excellent sharpness and contrast. The build quality is so, so however I am careful with my lenses.

Love it - Great Lens for low light (and for the cost)

Purchased this to be the companion lens to my 50mm -- 1.8

It is a 28mm (or "prime") lens, so you don't have the ability to zoom. But for $160 (ish) you can get a 2.8 lens and capture some terrific low light shots. The glass is very nice and the shots I have taken with it are very sharp. Is a little noisy (no UltraSonic Motor) but after a few minutes I didn't even notice it.

Used this lens to photograph an anniversary party a few weeks ago. I couldn't use the 50mm (wasn't enough room for me to back up from the group), but the 28mm let me get the shots - in very low lighting conditions - and my client was thrilled. Nice lens for the price for those times when the room is small...and the lighting isn't all that great.

Great value for the money!

Great high speed lens to use when space doesn't allow me to go with my 50mm F1.8 which is my favorite low light lens. This 24mm is a little better build quality, but not as sharp as the 50mm. But you still can't go wrong.Read full review...

best DSLR option

great lens for DSLRs with a 1.6 crop factor. Rivals L series in quality at much less than half the price. I find the quality suppior to ANY of the zooms, including L series. Best option unless you're going to spend ~ 1K. Do not hesitate to purchase one of theseRead full review...
