Good lightweght camera.

The good thing about this camera is that you don't have to transfer your filming, as it records straight onto a mini dvd. The drawback is the mini dvd's only allow you 30 minutes of filming. Another drawback is if you want to record over Dvdrw discs you need a certain type of dvd player to be compatible, and it is not clear about this. Bad Manual or complicated camera or both

Gave this a below average rating simply because this camera is very complicated. The manual covers more then one camera which makes trying to figure out the camera operation really tough. Spent hours trying to find the spot light feature in the manual operation and finaly guess it must be for the othere cannon camera that the manual covers.
Next I tried putting two mini dvds in my pc with the intention of burning both on one regular DVD - so far I'm not successful seems kinda stupid to just burn 1 GP mini on a 4 GB DVD, Mybe another software for my pc will help? If I had to do it all over again knowing how hard it was to use manual settings I would not have bought it.
Those Excellent ratings I see about this camera must be from the ones that use the easy button only. I believe if a camera is has features to use then Cannon should have made it a little easier to use them.Read full review...

Canon 310 camcorder

I bought this camera because I have always had good service from any Canon Product I have owned. It has not disappointed me. It is compact and easy to use. The manual is easy to read. The only complaint I have is that you have to delete a scene right after you record it. I wish it would let you delete any scene at any time on the disc.
