Jeep Wrangler JK Modified To Showcase BFGoodrich All Terrain Tires

Builders, Culture  /   /  By Daniel Gray

The BFGoodrich-Poison Spyder Jeep Wrangler JK was built to roll out BFGoodrich’s All Terrain T/A KO2 tires at off-road events across North America. While this sweet JK may look like a million bucks, it’s no trailer queen. It was built to be driven hard.

Beefier sidewalls, longer tread life, and aggressive traction make the BFGoodrich T/A KO2 a wise bet in a wide range of conditions. The KO2 marks the company’s first use of its Baja-proven CoreGard technology in a consumer tire.

The Poison Spyder JK Brawler MID Front Bumper is CNC laser-cut and fabricated from 3/16-inch plate steel.

Like the T/A KO2 tires, Poison Spyder’s Jeep accessories are engineered to tackle the toughest trails. The JK’s nose was toughened with a Poison Spyder JK Brawler MID Front Bumper sporting a Warn winch and a Rigid Industries LED light bar. Poison Spyder’s JK Brawler MID Front Skid provides additional protection below the bumper.

A cab-wide Rigid Industries LED Light Bar is brow mounted above the windshield and a pair of Side LED Spot Lights are mounted on the A-Pillars.

Poison Spyder’s slidable Rocker Knockers keep the rocks at bay.

A set of beefy 37×12.50R17 BFGoodrich All Terrain T/A KO2s are wrapped around Raceline RT260-AL Avenger Beadlock Wheels. Poison Spyder JK Front and Rear Crusher Fender Flares allow the JK to show off its Rancho Suspension bits.

The webbed spare tire carrier on Poison Spyder’s JK RockBrawler II Rear Bumper uses spider theme.

Poison Spyder Rocker Knockers deliver “boatside-like protection from the rocks while keeping the Jeep’s doors and body a safe distance from higher level trail hazards.” Rocker Knockers can be frame- or body-mounted. The CNC laser-cut outer Slider Skid is built from one-eighth-inch steel and can be easily customized or replaced.

In back, a Poison Spyder JK RockBrawler II Rear Bumper carries a spare tire, should the trail succeed in sinking its teeth into one of the KO2s. Crusher Corners protect the tub. A MACS Black Box provides safe and secure storage behind the rear seats.

“The KO2 has an obvious appeal for the serious off-road enthusiast,” said Dan Newsome, BFGoodrich Tires country marketing manager for light truck tires. “It’s also expected to appeal to anyone who regularly faces challenging gravel, dirt, or snow-covered roads. The KO2’s toughness, durability and traction, as well as its improved treadlife and great road manners, deliver strong benefits, whether for work, play or just to get home.”
