Behind the Bobcat Scenes

Bobcat traces its name to 1947 and the Melroe Manufacturing Company, founded by E.G. Melroe and his four sons. The company is one of the founders of the “compact equipment” industry. It introduced its first four-wheel loader in 1960, the M400, which is also the world’s first skid-steer loader.

In 1962, the Melroe company introduced its trademarked Bobcat name and familiar white paint scheme, which honor the “tough, quick, and agile” prairie animal. The Melroe company officially changed its name to Bobcat in 2000. In 2002, Bobcat launched its first utility vehicle, the 2100.

Since then, Bobcat has become a reputable manufacturer of side-by-side/utility UTVs. Today, it offers two gasoline and two diesel models.

Loaded with Winter (and Summer) Amenities

This 2021 Bobcat UV34XL for sale on eBay features a long list of performance, comfort, and safety features.

  • A two-cylinder 1,000-cc single-overhead-cam liquid-cooled gas engine with all-wheel-drive produces the torque required to tackle winter chores.
  • Bobcat includes a 900-watt stator with a 75-amp output for powering a UTV snowplow blade or other electric-powered accessories.
  • Electronic fuel injection provides robust starting performance, especially in cold-weather conditions.

UV34XL rear suspension and engine

The UV34XL chassis uses metal flooring and a steel frame for added durability, rigidity, and improved handling. Independent front and rear suspension provide a confident and comfortable ride even when carrying or towing heavy loads.

You can confidently navigate challenging jobs without sacrificing ride quality, thanks to the UV34XL’s forgiving suspension and durable drive components.
