Hanging rod is too short

Negatives: hanging rod is too short for adult men's or women's pants; might be okay for children's pants; also the metal in this product is of a rather thin gauge which is probably perfectly serviceable but does not have the heft to which I am accustomed in this type of pants hanger;

Far more uplifting than expected
While reflecting the worst of times, this book manages to. be uplifting. I wanted to continue turning the pages when it was long past my bedtime. After finishing, the characters stick with me. It provides food for thought about people doing what is needed to survive.
