Unexpexted use or repurposing
As a student "Lace maker" I was looking for a bobbin rack. A place to hang the attached pairs of wound bobbins as I am winding them and before they actually go into the lace. It has to be a place lots of bobbins can hang and not get tangled and this is just the ticket! It folds away flat when I'm not using it, and when in use it's a good height to hold the wound bobbins off the table, lots and lots of bobbins. Because it is unfinished wood it will not stain the threads, and has enough traction so the bobbins stay put and don't slip around. I highly recommend it to other people making bobbin lace!

Interesting design
A costumier friend of mine had made this pattern up and it was fascinating, so, of course, I had to have it too. It will be totally different because I will choose fabric, color and embellishments to suit myself.

All cotton, good quality thread.
I needed more to finish a project, this was the same stuff, so it's just what I needed.
