They are more blue than purple as shown in the picture. Very unpleased with item. The direction show 5 levels of brightness but thats not accurate, its only got two. The remote has about 18" of range, and a direct line of site, do not install the box under dash. Even if you extend the remote wire from control box it does not help the range.
