Surprised results
3 of 3 found this helpful I bought this not expecting to gain much performance besides extra cooling. Surprisingly, I gained about 1lb in boost pressure.
I installed this on a 2012 Mini Cooper S R56. N18. This is a 2012 built model as well. I was reading on the NAM forums and was expecting a drop in pressure because of the bigger intercooler. Reading other speed shops input on the matter stating that if the intercooler is designed too big then that’ll be the case. Too small and it’s effects overall performance in a negative way.
The intercooler is heavier than stock but the pros outweighs the con. Glad I took the chance to buy an off brand intercooler. Saved me about 400 dollars.
I’d say this intercooler is about 25lbs in weight? Not a bad trade off.
I’m measuring my temps and boost with the P3 gauge if anyone is wondering.

Worth
This is worth the little bit of extra money. I won’t be buying LEDs from anyone else. These are insanely bright.
