Needing some "active" 3-D glasses for my new projector (which did not include any), I went shopping online, doing lots of research into different models of active glasses. I bought the AN-3DG40 & another generic pair.
None of the stores or listings I ran across specified that the AN-3DG40 model glasses only work with Sharp's 'Aquos' televisions! What a shame, because these glasses are more comfortable, having curved arms to fit better around the wearer's temples. Additionally, these glasses just don't look as stupid as many cheaper generic 3-D glasses tend to, and to be honest, I want to look somewhat cool if I'm watching a movie with a date.
Not sure how I feel about using replaceable 'button' batteries instead of rechargeable, but I think it's an advantage for life-span of the glasses, as I'm not sure how long my generic glasses with internal rechargeable battery will continue to hold a charge (expecting a few years, but what then?)
