Needing some "active" 3-D glasses for my new projector (which did not include any), I went shopping online, doing lots of research into different models of active glasses. I bought the AN-3DG40 & another generic pair. None of the stores or listings I ran across specified that the AN-3DG40 model glasses only work with Sharp's 'Aquos' televisions! What a shame, because these glasses are more comfortable, having curved arms to fit better around the wearer's temples. Additionally, these glasses just don't look as stupid as many cheaper generic 3-D glasses tend to, and to be honest, I want to look somewhat cool if I'm watching a movie with a date. Not sure how I feel about using replaceable 'button' batteries instead of rechargeable, but I think it's an advantage for life-span of the glasses, as I'm not sure how long my generic glasses with internal rechargeable battery will continue to hold a charge (expecting a few years, but what then?)Read full review

Glasses work as advertised. Battery is easy to change so big plus over the older generation. The installed battery was almost dead but it did have spares in the box. The lenses are a bit smaller than the older ones. Not a big deal. Still see the same amount of screen.
