Nike Air Force 1 in Classic Black

Bruce Kilgore designed the first Air Force 1 in 1982. Since then, the sneaker has been created in several colors, but black has always been a classic go-to for many. Throughout the years, Air Force 1s have been seen on celebrities and athletes from Instagram to television.

The AF 1s have been able to stay relevant with the times with classics like the Triple Black colorway, and you can find them on eBay.

Black and White Air Force 1

One of the most popular shoes in the Nike line, the Air Force 1, has undergone many upgrades over time, and for its 2022 upgrade of the Black and White, the brand has redesigned its lace unit to include built-in toggles. Aside from that main addition, this shoe doesn't stray far from its original design. Smooth leathers cover the entire upper of the shoe, and every panel except for the heel tab and Swoosh logo on the side are dyed black.

On these two panels, white is used instead, which matches the branding along both ends of the shoe as well as on the midsole below. The eyelets have been removed entirely, and eye stays have been widened slightly to ensure compatibility with those who prefer to use laces.

Nike Air Force 1s in Black

The Air Force 1 Mid has been showing up in outfits for decades. A recent release of some premiums is keeping that tradition alive. The black AF1 Mid Premium, released in September 2022, combines black leathered insole and upper with a velvet-like interior. The outsole is Nike's Anthracite, and the sneaker is adorned with a metallic silver Swoosh and a hyper pink logo on the footbed. The premium leather mid is one of the recent releases that include special editions and new collaborations.

Nike Air Force 1 PLT.AF.ORM (Black)

This women's exclusive, in celebration of Air Force 1's 40th anniversary, has had a modification made on this release. The Nike Air Force 1 PLT.AF.ORM has an inch or more in height added to this release scheduled for 2022. It comes in black with a stark white mid and outsole.

Nike Air Force 1 Crater Flyknit Next Nature

Nike has been on a roll as of late with the recent release of its Flyknit sneakers. 2022 brings the AF 1 Crater. In addition to being lightweight and supportive, these sneakers offer supreme shock absorption and comfort. Taking things a step further, Nike also incorporated their Move to Zero efforts into a sneaker that blends the benefits of the Flyknit with those of the Air Force 1 in the Crater. The Nature line of Air Force 1s is designed to be in line with Nike's efforts to minimize its carbon footprint in manufacturing.

Nike Air Force 1 GTX

 A Nike Air Force 1 GTX Black Air Force 1 sneaker is a black-colored sneaker. The inner sleeve is made with a Gore-Tex material, which makes it waterproof and breathable. This makes the Air Force 1 GTX ideal for wet weather conditions. The sneaker still manages to offer proper ventilation and overall functionality while still looking good. The midsole of the shoe is cushioned with Nike Air technology, providing superior comfort and support. The outsole of the shoe is made from durable non-marking rubber.

Nike Air Force 1 High in Triple Black

 This iteration of the AF1 High features a perforated black leather upper with a matching black sole that is enhanced in size to give it a more substantial look and feel. The midsole is also beefed up to provide better support and cushioning, making this one of the most comfortable options in the Air Force 1 line.

There is also a canvas version of this Nike offering. The canvas High in Triple Black Air Force has pull tabs on the tongue, which is not typically seen in other AF1s.

Nike Air Force 1 Low Split Black and White

The Nike AF 1 Low 40th Anniversary Edition Split Black White is a sneaker released in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Nike AF1. The shoe features a split black and white colorway, with each side of the shoe being a different color.

The left side of the shoe is black, with a black Swoosh logo, and the right side of the shoe is white, with a white Swoosh logo. This is reversed on the other shoe in the pair so that the white side of the shoes face each other when worn. It also has a gold music-inspired symbol on the heel and gold Nike Air branding on the inner sole. The shoe also features a special 40th-anniversary edition Nike Air logo on the tongue and comes packaged in a special 40th-anniversary edition box.

The Nike Low Shadow Triple Black Air Forces (W) is a sleek and stylish shoe that is for those who want a versatile sneaker. Air Force 1 Collaborations in Black

An upcoming collaboration between AMBUSH and Nike will deliver a black Nike Air Force 1 low. The sneaker will display co-branding of the Nike Swoosh and AMBUSH on the tongue and Ambush logos on the heel, outsole, and midsole. The sneaker is constructed with a base of premium leather. Finally, a black rubber sole rounds out the main features of the shoe. The AMBUSH x Nike AF 1 Low was released on December 16, 2022.

Among the line of interesting collaborations with Air Force 1 is the Lauren Halsey edition. Nike's ALL FOR 1 series teamed up with LA-based artist Lauren Halsey for a special Air Force 1 High. Halsey is known for her large-scale installations that often incorporate found objects and address social issues. For this project, she drew inspiration from her hometown of South Central Los Angeles, creating a bold design that celebrates the area's rich cultural heritage.

The shoe features a Triple Black colorway with orange and green mismatched laces. The tongue and heel feature positive messaging while the insole is printed with images of South Central LA. This special-edition Air Force 1 High is part of Nike's ALL FOR 1 series, which celebrates diversity and inclusion through sport. The series highlights athletes, artists, and influencers from underrepresented communities who are using their platforms to effect change.

Air Force 1 Continues Flying

When the Air Force 1 first appeared in 1982, it was a basketball shoe like none other as it was the first to feature Nike Air technology.
