Take Charge in Raging Bull Jordan 5s
The Air Jordan brand has re-released their 2009 Raging Bull 5. They can be found on eBay’s website.
In March of 2021, Michael Jordan’s Air Jordan brand released the retro colorway Raging Bull. These sneakers are equipped with bold red suede to commemorate his iconic run with the Chicago Bulls. Sneakerheads who are looking for the Jordan Raging Bull 5 can find them retailing on eBay.
Creation of the Jordan 5
The 1990s were the prime of Michael Jordan’s basketball career. After the success of the Jordan 4, Tinker Hatfield and Jordan went to work on creating the 5. Sources say these sneakers took many inspirations, including a British fighter plane from WW2.
February of 1990 marked the official release of four colorways. Features like the rubber sole were introduced to the brand, as well as translucent moldings that reflected light. Additionally, Tinker added 3M reflecting on the tongue. This material made it easier to see during games. After its test run on two of the four originally released 5s, the 3M tongues became a staple on the retro versions.
The mesh netting found on the tongue was also added to the side panels of each sneaker. Finally, the Jordan 5 had new lace locks.
All About the Raging Bull Jordan 5
Commonly referred to as Varsity Red, the Raging Bull made its first appearance in 2009. It was half of an Air Jordan Raging Bulls sneaker pair. This was the first retro 5 sneaker that used all-over red suede. In addition to the red suede, Tinker added red paint that resembles blood on the outer sole moldings.
Raging Bull Jordan 5 Detail Description
The Raging Bull colorway re-release comes with the nostalgic features of the original retro. They feature the previously mentioned red suede extending from the top of the shoe collar to the heel moldings. On the side of the heel, there’s an embroidered red and black 23. You’ll also notice the black Jumpman logo on the back heel.
The tongue has a silver reflective 3M material. There are black eyelets contrasting with the silver tongue and all-over red suede. An embroidered black Jumpman logo is on the top of the tongue. The bottom portion of the tongue is covered with a translucent mesh and red shoelaces. The same mesh material is on the sides of each sneaker.
Underneath the red suede is a border of black plastic that wraps around the toe cap and heel. There’s Visible Air near the heel of each sneaker. In the middle of the black border, you can see part of the translucent rubber outsole. Also, there are rigid white details dipped in red.
Moving onto the outer sole, you’ll notice the black toe cap. The middle of the sole also has a black section with Jordan written inside of it. The translucent section nearest to the toes has a red Jumpman logo. Finally, there’s a translucent section on the heel.
