When Jordan 1s first came out in 1985, they caused a bit of commotion in the NBA because they didn't conform to the league's uniform policies. Jordan kept wearing the shoes anyway, despite the threat of being fined. Michael Jordan and Nike have come a long way since 1985. While Michael racked up many NBA championships, MVP titles, and other accolades, his Jordan line of sneakers has gained a lot of attention.

At the heart of all this success is the Jordan 1. The early colorways of the Air Jordan 1 are still widely available, and Nike has made many more versions, including some modern ones with innovative designs. An example of that is the Air Jordan 1 Mid Heat Reactive, which can be found on eBay.

Details Regarding the Jordan 1 Mid Heat Reactive

In some ways, this mid-cut shoe looks similar to the original Jordan 1. It has a prominent Nike Swoosh on it, a perforated toebox, and a white midsole that's been paired with a dark rubber outsole. It features black and white, just like some of the early Air Jordans did. Black is used on the leather overlays as well as on the Nike Swoosh and outsole. The laces, the rest of the upper, and the tongue are all white, and this contrast is very striking.

The front of the shoe may seem traditional, but the back of the shoe is definitely not what you'd consider typical. That's because the heel, collar flaps, and tongue tag of the Air Jordan 1 Mid Heat Reactive have all been coated in a heat-reactive material, which gives this shoe its name. Depending on the light exposure and the ambient temperature, this material can be blue, yellow, pink, purple, or green. The overall look is futuristic, and it's hard to label this area with a particular color name since it can keep changing by the second. Plus, the material has a textured feel to it, contrasting with the smooth leather used elsewhere in the upper. The design team has tied the color scheme together by adding white stitching to the heat-reactive material. Two layers of white stitching hold these components in place. More white stitching is found on the white leather uppers, whereas the black leather parts have been held in place using black stitching.

If you're looking for branding elements, there are Nike Swooshes on either side of the shoe. You'll also see a black Jumpman logo with the word Air on the tongue tag, and the black Jordan Wings logo on the collar flap will be pretty apparent as well. With this shoe, Nike has blended the old and the new, and it has a retro quality to it while being able to offer an interesting surprise.
