Daybook of Critical Reading and Writing
Attention all ELA teachers:
If you're familiar with the "workshop" model, this book is great as a "How To" book for "talking to the text", possible topics/entries for the "reading response" journal and/or as a pre-reading activity to introduce grade level literature by noteworthy authors. The books are offered for grades 3 to 12 and each one has a teacher guide. Highly recommended!

Wonderful support for teaching socioemotional skills!!!
As a special education teacher, I love and highly recommend the entire series! Finally, books diverse enough to use for my population of students!

Never Without My Fitbit
I prefer this type of Fitbit because you can easily and securely place it on the waist of your pants and I dislike things on my wrist. If you program it properly, it's accurate. I am not tech savvy nor will I read lengthy directions (there directions are short and sweet) and yet I learned to program it easily. As it ages, it needs to be charged after two days, but it will take a charge for 5 days if it's new. I love it.
