Great Wide angle lens for a crop camera
I looked at several options before spending the additional dollars to buy this lens. The Tokina 11-16 was my second choice. After much research and having had previous experience with an older Tokina lens not working with a newer Canon body, I decided to stay with Canon.
This is a great lens. Sharp, very low distortion and fairly light weight. If this was a full frame capable lens, it would have a red ring on it as the build quality is very good.
No regrets, you get what you pay for.

Highly recommended - especially if you can save ~$700 on a refurbished unit
I purchased this product as a refurbished unit. Only difference I could determine from new were not in the original box and no paper in the box. Manuals are easy to find on Sony's web site and the unit was well protected in the box it was shipped in.
The Sony receiver replaced a malfunctioning Pioneer LX-505 receiver, and it sounds notably better in both stereo and movies. Even my wife noticed the improvement in detail and placement.

Best Remote I've ever had
1 of 1 found this helpful Three things, up front:
1 I am an electronics engineer and a computer savvy person.
2 If your devices are RF and not I/R this unit will not work for them.
3 Extremely Important -If you do not know how your entertainment system is set up (what component is plugged in to what input, etc...) do not try to set up this remote.
Set up takes about an hour. You connect the device to a USB port on the computer and log on to the internet on Logitech’s site. Your profile is stored on line and accessible from any internet capable location.
You start out by describing you system and the software creates the most appropriate “activities”. You can add, delete, edit, reorder and rename them to almost anything you want.
Once set up, anyone can use it. It is very intuitive to use and incredibly smart. You press the “Activity” button and then press "Watch TV" or “Listen to CD’s”. It turns on all the right stuff and sets up the inputs and outputs. The buttons on the remote are then all set up to control all of the appropriate devices at once. To turn off everything, you press OFF. It's that simple. It utilizes separate on and off codes so it works so much better than just learning the On/Off toggle command off of your manufacturer’s remote.
Range, width and power of the infra red emitter are astounding, aiming is not very critical. It falls off a bit about 1 day before the low battery warning comes on. Battery life is 5-6 months with very heavy use. I don't recommend re-chargeables (they show low battery very quickly).
For the really savvy set up person, you can actually program any remote button, in any activity, to any function of any connected device (wow that’s a mouthful).
The buttons have a decent quality feel to them and 99% of the time, the automatic setup put the function I expected on the button that I expected it to be on. It takes about 6 to 10 minutes to reprogram once you have the initial setup. I use the extra buttons at the bottom of the unit to control the sound field modes of my receiver when watching TV, DVD, or Blue-Ray.
I bought a spare in case the one I have been using for the last 3 years ever breaks – I like it that much…
