A very practical commute lamp.
Small and light. Have used this style lamp on my commutes for the last few years. Just about bright enough for unlit cycle paths (but I am slow). Have never had it fall out of mount, but have dropped it a few times and it was OK. A major advantage is that it has well shaped beam with a sharpish vertical cut off, and can be readily pointed away from oncoming pedestrians, or to the side when cornering , then flicked back to straight ahead with a thumb. Much quicker to get on and off than the rubber band mounted lamps. The run time on full beam is probably around 90 mins when new. The one in this listing has a better usb port bung than earlier spins and has a slightly warmer and less bright beam than my older unit (I bought this as a back up). Probably not enough for ebike guys doing 30mph (if they used lights!), or off road use in the dark.

Works well when mirrors cleaned. Cheap to run.
1 of 1 found this helpful Laser unit mirrors need regular cleaning, Prints nice photographs. Toners are cheap but dont last as long as expected. Almost never has paper jams.

OK, but Not for doubling up ethernet cable runs.
rj45 cable has 4 signal pairs. 100MBit & 10MBit use two pairs, so you can run two individual connections down the same cable if you use a suitable splitter. This is not such a splitter, All 8 connections are wired to the same pins on each plug. 1- 1- 1, 2- 2- 2, etc.
If you for some reason want to do this, (perhaps you are not running ethernet, and want to tap in to some other use for such a cable) this is fine.
Not very robust, but it doesnt have to be.
