This in NEEDED for proper seal install
I bought this to change out the vacuum seals on my 2008 F250. The previous ones were installed less than 2 years ago. The previous installer drove the seals in with a block of wood and hammer. Thai resulted in warping the old seals and drastically reducing the life of them. You could see where the one installer left divots and impressions around the inner part of the seal causing it to eat away at the outer seal. After using this tool you can see where the new seal looks out of the box perfect after driving it on the shaft and then again in the housing, a perfect factory install look.
I researched this for months before buying this tool. I was sure there was another way to change out these seals without this tool. There are but you’re going to wreck your new seal. Save your self the time and aggravation and buy this if you’re looking to change out oil seals on your vacuum hubs!
