MagVent MV-180 Magnetic Dryer Vent Coupling

Good concept but extremely fragile

The concept behind this dryer vent approach is novel and if you had six or eight inches behind your dryer it would work great. Unfortunately, in my case I only had four inches and the alignment of the vent fitting coming out of the wall relative to my dryer outlet was an inch or so off. If you push the dryer back too far you end up crushing the flexible tubing and in my case tearing a giant hole in it. I ended up having to throw the MagVent away because the flexible tubing isn't a replaceable part and instead installed a recessed dryerbox that worked perfectly and should have been installed by the builder in the first place.
