Great pads for daily and periodic spirited driving...
I've had HAWK HPS's installed on my BMW and decided to try these on my WRX. I feel these are great pads for daily driving. Cold or hot, they deliver excellent braking performance and low to no noise. They are easy on the rotors and last long. I'm using these pads on 04 WRX with brembo rotors, NOT drilled or slotted. Would definitely use HAWK products again and would recommend to anyone looking for quality product to upgrade from OEM pads.

OEM is the way to go...
3 of 3 found this helpful It's always a good idea to use parts that are original equipment for your vehicle. These days we have many choices and some of the products available on the market are of poor quality. It's sort of like your body, eat good quality food and you'll feel better. I believe the same applies to your vehicle. Use good quality parts that will do the job they are designed to do and last longer compared to inferior parts. It may cost few dollars extra, but will do a better job and last longer. I installed these on my vehicle that had these installed at the factory and recommend the product.

2003 Matrix whooping noise issue solved...
I found on-line reference to Matrix and Vibe requiring double shims on the front. Meaning the outer and inner pads on both sides are double shimmed. The shop installed aftermarket pads that had a single shim. After installing the Toyota shim kit, the issue was gone. No more whoop, whoop while driving and/or applying the brake.
