Accurate book title - explains it all.
Few physics books can take the reader from complete beginner to reasonable knowledge and perhaps more important to instil confidence as this book does. Although old in comparison to current science books it has remained a well used book by students and is aptly named 'Understanding Physics'

Non-boring factual account of the beginnings of the Christian and Muslim faiths.
This book tells of the beginning of the Muslim and Christian religions. The author is a highly respected historian and the book is unbiased and based on fact. It is detailed and written in an engaging style as all his books are. I bought this copy for my son as I enjoyed and learnt a lot from reading my copy. Other favourites from this author are 'The Rubicon' on the history of Rome and 'Persian Fire'. There are no boring bits in these history books.

Favourite Latin Dictionary
Best Latin dictionary for me. Also easier to use than the smaller versions, in terms of legibility and quickly finding specific words.
