Take your time...
Removing the parts to get to the resistor will take much longer than actually fitting it!. Take your time, don't force anything, and try to do the replacement on a warm day, or at least in a warm car, to avoid damaging any brittle, cold plastic pieces. Careful of sharp edges under the dash, and don't rush the job..
