Great for small dogs that don't jump.
The Carlson Pet Products Lil' Tuffy is great for pups that can't jump over anything. My dog has a vertical 6 inch jump & he's too scared to try jumping over this. The barrier is great for my needs as it's low enough that i don't trip over it late at night or when we're in a hurry, but high enough that my dog can't jump over.
The gate is made out of metal & is a bit jangly(?) when not in place. I would have preferred a hard plastic material, but that's just me. Once in place it's pretty solid.
We never use the gate, but it's a nice additional feature for those who would use it. The gate does have a lock to keep it in place when not in use, so you don't have to worry about it unexpectedly swinging open.
Installing the gate in place is pretty easy & the rubber didn't discolor the white paint on the door frame.

Pretty good box cutter.
I found this while looking for those cheap throwaway box cutters. The initial design caught my eye & I instantly liked the looks of the cutter. What made me actually purchase the cutter was the ceramic blade. It was scary & intriguing at the same time.
Once i received the item, the cutter itself had a nice thickness to it that made it easier to handle.it's about the same thickness of two of the throwaway box cutters allowing it to be held more comfortably.
I found the blade changing mechanism pretty intuitive & easily saw that the blade replacement workflow was pretty simple.
The blade itself is designed for opening boxes & i found myself running the blade edge along my fingertips with enough pressure to open boxes. It didn't break my skin which made me okay with throwing the cutter in my pocket & not having to worry about the blade exposing & accidentally cutting anything.
I've used it now for about a week & have had no issues with it. It regularly gets a little wet due to outdoor use (also, i'm a sloppy eater/drinker) & since it's ceramic, i don't have to worry about rusty blades.
My only gripe is that since it's a ceramic blade, i'll have to get blades from Slice or a specialty shop. But i guess it's one of the selling points. t's a gift & a curse at the same time. It's about double the price of the throwaway ones, but I feel like it's worth it for the ceramic blade.
Pretty sure someone will steal this from me at some point.
