Best I can tell it works as advertised
From time-to-time over the years, it seems Miele makes slight changes to their HEPA filters. At least I sure HOPE that's what's happening, because the markings are slightly different, and the "strip/gauge" varies in appearance and function from batch-to-batch. I don't believe these are knock-offs, but it's hard to know if the product is doing the exact job promised. All we know is the filter turns dark grey around the time the strip/gauge reaches the end.

Video shooting time is limited only by card capacity. Woo-hoo!
Got this as a second/third video camera for event videography. Three main features I needed:
1) The larger sensor compared (to point-and-shoot digicams) allows for creative "narrow focus"
2) One of the video modes allows for continuous shooting up to the capacity of the SDHC card (critical for wedding ceremonies)
3) Manual focus to "lock off" a shot to avoid autofocus "searching" when bride/groom move in/out of frame.
