Why did Hitachi ever stop making these?
1 of 1 found this helpful I don't understand why Hitachi ever stopped making this model. Besides great rice, it is a perfect vegetable steamer. Unlike similar newer models with the shallow little steamer baskets, this one can handle a whole head of cauliflower, or a pound of green beans! Quick, simple cooking, easy easy cleanup. The bottom of the pan in my original was wearing thin (after 35+ years and tons of rice). I was so happy to find a replacement!
