Far superior to anything else I've used
1 of 1 found this helpful We previously had a small bagless upright we bought when we lived in a much smaller house. It was fine, but was hard to use on the stairs and had to be emptied after nearly every room. By contrast, this vacuum is easy to use on every surface and I've vacuumed the whole house twice and haven't had to change the bag. Plus no more dumping the canister and getting a face full of dust and dander!
The suction is powerful which is great on our pet fur filled carpets, but can quickly and easily be adjusted for other surfaces. No more worries about catching the edge of a rug and sucking it up! When I'm vacuuming a rug I can turn down the power at the adjustment knob or I can partially open the little valve on the wand to let a little air in and reduce suction temporarily.
The only slight negative compared to an upright is trailing the canister after you, but it rolls easily and the long hose and long power cord mean that you have excellent reach before you have to move it.
The other thing I love about this vacuum is that it is QUIET. It's way quieter than our old big box store upright. My cats still leave the room when I use it, but they don't bolt in terror they just saunter away.
