Great for an affordable school laptop

Our kids school require them to have Chromebooks. One of these for significantly less than a new one, is a no brainer. The very high screen resolution is a major bonus, as the screen is very easy on the eyes. Other budget Chromebooks have terrible, low-res screens with horrible view angles. The screen on this is top notch for what it is. The stats wouldn't cut it for Windows, but for ChromeOS, it's perfectly usable. The metal build quality of this laptop is excellent. The only downsides are that ChromeOS expires for updates, and these are past their last update. Also, the batteries are probably a little old and don't last as long as a new one, but my kids only use them tethered to power (which is simply USB-C not some awful additional power brick) and the expired updates don't affect their schoolwork. For a young kid for school these are an absolute steal!
