Good for simple one piece molds
If you want to make simple one piece mold, this product is for you, for intricate 2 parts mold, not so much!
I tried to make 2 parts molds for a 1/12 scale plastic gun (Marvel Legends) but since you have to press the putty inside on both sides, it is very difficult to get the same exact width as the original item. You get pretty thick flashing all around the cloned piece.
Pushing the putty inside the molds cavities requires a lot of patience...
You have to be extra quick to get a good mold as its sets within 3 minutes
Don't expect to be productive and be prepared for some trial and erros
Not good for resin casting because you cannot gate the parts for air distribution
This is definitely not an alternative to liquid silicone and resin casting
