1 of 1 found this helpful While I have used numerous radios over the past 40 years, unfortunately the SW1 is not what it's supposed to be. The best thing going for this radio is it's small (VERY SMALL) therefore you can take it many places to use. If you want a better radio and more bang for your bucks find a nice Panasonic 2200 with the carrying strap and take it with you on those trips. The 2200 far exceeds this little radio in reception.

Much better than expected. Only took 5-10 minutes to assemble with my hard drive and I was up and running. USB 3.0 transfer speeds much greater than 2.0 speeds. About 10X as fast. Great deal here.

Best SPEAKER you can buy for use with your SHORTWAVE or HAM RADIO
Go to this web site to see the eHam reviews of this speaker. If you own a shortwave or ham radio and need a great quality speaker, do not hesitate to buy and use this one. I've use Palstar, Icom, and Kenwood speakers, and none are is good as this little speaker. PERIOD.
