Not my kind of book

I love Top Gear so I got a copy of this book. I was really disappointed, I'm used to the random Stig stuff on the show, but this book was too over the top. The book would have been better if they had mixed the oddities of Stig within a real world setting rather than some fantasy version of the Top Gear show/team. That way the book would have been more readable. It felt like a chore to read this book, I gave up just after the chapters where the presenters discuss what they know about Stig. The book wasn't funny, read Clarkson or May books for a laugh. Already there are copies of this book in charity shops... Enough said! :-)

Great camera

I find the Sony A99 to be a good alternative to my Canon camera which I had previously used. The image stabilisation built into the camera is a great bonus, I can use older lenses more often without the need for a tripod. I mainly am using minolta lenses with mine, a 80-200mm f/2.8 APO HS G is the best lens I have ever had. The results are amazing. The downside is that a lot of new lenses are made for Sonys E-mount now, but there are some great A-mount still to be found that can give as good as results if not better than some of the newer E-mount ones.
