For the price this is a decent whetstone but It seems more like a 1000/3000 grit. You get what you pay for. Fine for a home cook.

An inexpensive knife that looks good and cuts well. Uses vinyl washers rather than copper or brass & made of lower end 5cr15mov steel. Fit and finish is very good on the knife I received.

Bladesmithing with Murray Carter: Modern Application of Traditional Techniques

Lots of Great color pictures...

This book does not come close to describing all the work that goes into making any knife but it is a good read with lots of color photos and some of Murray's personal insight, just don't expect this book to be a step by step instruction guide to make knives. Worth adding to any knife hobbyist's collection of literature.
