LED's just arent for everything
LED's are great, except in this case, this particular bulb changes the focal length of the light. It is much more dim that the "old-school" Krypton K-13 bulb that it is supposed to replace. Not to mention that this bulb disperses the light so much that it barely has a beam that can shine even 50 feet. The non-LED bulb easily places a spot light at 600 feet. If all you are looking for is extended battery range, without regard for the quality of the beam, then maybe this bulb will work for you.

THE DOGTRA STARWALK IS A FUN LITTLE DEVICE
We have a couple of these Starwalk activity trackers. Although they are a bit larger than competitive devices, the built in light makes up for the slightly larger size. We use them on our 19lb dogs, and they dont even seem to notice they are there. Passersby often smile and comment when they see the dogs with thier own light. Besides making people smile, the light is also quite useful for seeing where the dogs are in the dark forests of the Rockies. Since both of our dogs are avid swimmers, waterproofing was a must, and the Starwalk has seen many rivers and lakes, and continues to work flawlessly. A nice feature is the ambient temperature seonsor, which allows us to monitor the water temperature in which they are swimming. This is important because we love to go camping, and mountain lakes and rivers are much colder, the device helps in determining how long to let them stay in the water. It is fairly accurate in tracking the distance your dog has traveled. The phone application has a few annoying problems, the major of which is that it requires and internet connection at all times while using it. This is a pain in the butt if youre not in the city (fortunately the device light can be turned on without the app, or it would be useless when out of cell range). Customer service does not respond to emails. Overall, its just a fun device, and gives you a look into just how hard our best friends need to work to keep up with us.

Gotta love these batteries in a halogen light
These seem to be a perfect replacement for the old-school 6V 5AH batteries used in a whole bunch of older rechargeable high power flash lights. They dont seem to have a lower capacity, and they give new life to these old giants. I am just not a fan of LED flashlights. Yes, LED's extend the battery life - but you cant beat a traditional halogen. If you have one of these nice old-school lights, try this battery, its a perfect fit and will make you smile when you can light up everything for 1/2 mile, again.
