Great product, works perfectly.
Works perfectly, clear display and simple to operate once set up. Which is why this is a 4 star review and not a star. Bought to replace a REV 23 thermostat, Siemens inexplicably made the base plate of the REV 24 a mirror image of the 23, so had to take the old one off and replace it, and due to the fitting of the plate to the metal box in the wall, it leaves a patch of unpainted wall that I need to touch in. Other gripe is the instructions, which you have to read to set up the thermostat, but are in really, really tiny print. Once that was done, all great, and pretty small gripes, but no need, particularly on the instructions.

Properly thick heat pad
This is a proper piece ok kit, thick enough to stop the heat from items placed on it getting through to my posh (for this house!) oak table beneath. The cork coasters I bought from another manufacturer are wafer thin, needing two to have any realistic protective effect. Nothing fancy, but it's a similar colour to the oak, is made from a sustainable source (they just use the bark of the tree, rather than cutting them down), and seems set for many years of usage.

A step back in time - a recipe book with no pictures
Does what it says on the tin - massive amounts of recipes for jams, jellies, chutneys etc. And the recipes are good - tried a couple of them and they work. Marguerite Patten knew her stuff, and if you're searching for a recipe to preserve almost any fruit or veg you'll find it in the book
Only downside is the Basic Basics in the title refers to the publishing, there are no pictures whatsoever, and the font and layout is pretty low rent. That said it's not intended for you to browse - just to provide specific info when you need it. And it does that very well
