Just the tone I was looking for.
I had tried a lot of different strings from several makers, both coated and not. I had tried other Ernie Ball strings and they were good, but I was still searching. I saw the Cobalts at my local music store and gave them a try on my Ibanez. They broke in quick and the little nuances I had searched for were right there. I have bought several sets since then and the same quality comes through every time.

Best I've found
The Ernie Ball Earthwood strings have been the best I've ever used for all of my guitars. Excellent tone and longevity.
