Third Time Around for a Kohler Part

This valve maintains the selected water temperature when another faucet is turned on (toilet flush for example) and prevents scalding from the subsequently abrupt pressure change. This is the third time I have replaced this valve with a genuine Kohler part. I think the original faucet is cheaply made and therefore the valve fails every 3-4 years. Had I known this when we remodeled our bath, I would have chosen a better product. At that time, I thought Kohler was a premium brand but apparently not when it comes to this all-plastic valve. I recommend this part only because it fits and there is no other choice short of tearing the wall apart to replace the whole faucet. It is neither good value nor good quality because I predict it will fail and have to be replaced again.

useful for custom decoder application but solder holes are too large for decoder-size wires

Good solution for custom fitting a small scale decoder connection in a tight place. Only shortfall is the size of the holes for soldering the wires. They are too large for the size wire one would use in this application. Survey asks if it is "entertaining" -No, it's a piece of hardware!
