NEW Gentex Homelink Auto Dimming Rear View Mirror with Install Kit

Perfect mirror if your car already has outside temp & compass displays

I've gotten to the point in life where an auto-dimming mirror is a "must-have" feature in my cars. Since the 90's I had been adding auto-dimming mirrors with outside temp & compass, however newer cars are now coming with the temp display & compass in the dash so now this one with the Homelink buttons is what I've been using; which eliminates the need for an ugly visor-clip GD-Opener. Wiring is also simpler as it is all inside vs. outside temp that requires running wires through the firewall and forward to someplace behind the grill to get the temp reading (which easily doubles installation time). Gentex is also a quality brand that is one of the big suppliers to the auto industry for OE factory installed mirrors both US & foreign.

Overall a great tool

Brushless motor in a 40V Lithium platform makes for a very powerful and efficient tool. Low and High speeds that are both variable (4070-4800 and 4070-5540 RPM no load, as tested) make it very versatile. Being able to accept various attachment (including other brands) in place of the string trimmer attachment, makes it even more versatile. Efficient battery usage thanks to the brushless motor … you can get respectable run time even out of the smaller 2.0/2.5Ah batteries if you use LOW speed and vary the trigger speed based on what you are trimming. Max out low or switch to high only when you get into thick stuff that needs it and you will get longer run time. String trimmer head is the simple feed through design and very robust; the bump feed also works better than the similar Ryobi/Homelite/Toro version. Plus it mounts to the head with a larger 10MM bolt instead of an 8MM that the R/H/T version uses. Anti-wrap shield comes up higher than the R/H/T version too so the likelihood of long grass/weeds getting wrapped up around the shaft above the bump head is as close to impossible as you can get. Bigger defector shield than what R/H/T uses is a plus as well. Only downside is it is a bit heavy … 15% heavier than the lighter duty Ryobi 40V brushed motor equivalent. This Greenworks Trimmer does come with a shoulder strap that helps manage the weight, plus the higher performance, added robustness, and better features far exceed the additional weight.
