EX7000 Access Point and Extender are GREAT
1 of 1 found this helpful This is my second EX7000. The first one is setup as an extender for our main Netgear R6200v2 setup as an access point in the middle of the house. The second EX7000 is setup as an access point in the wired half of the house.
Both configurations for the EX7000 are easy to setup and perform extremely well. Now our long ranch house is now covered end to end with WiFi. Because our house is older, it has 1" thick plaster on each side of the 2x4 wood framing (walls) along with a large masonry chimney so we have always had 'dead' spots in the house, in particular on the 5Ghz band.
After many years with DLink routers and access points (which never seemed to last more than a couple of years), I switched to Cisco (router) and Netgear (access points) products which have both lasted and performed well for me.
