Still a superb phone
Yes, I know the S5 is not the latest greatest smartphone out there, even just in the Galaxy lineup. It does not have all the bells and whistles or the fastest CPU. However, for pretty much any practical use, it is still pretty darn feature rich and overkill in the performance aspect- and is now cheap to boot.
Strengths: tough, fast, great screen, expandable storage, great camera, slim form factor, good battery life, removable battery.
Weaknesses: fingerprint sensor is a bit flaky, port cover is a weak point (have had to replace mine once already), plastic rim easily takes cosmetic damage.
Of particuclar note that this is as of now the latest Samsung flasgship phone with a removable battery. If you don't know why this matters or don't care, you've probably not been watching the news. Inspecting the battery is as simple as popping off the rear cover, and replacing it costs $10 and takes a few seconds. The S6 and S7 on the other hand are not designed to be opened... ever.

Very tight fit
Got a two pack of these. I like the length and the braided cord- they tend to be tougher than regular rubber cables. The cables also came with a snap tie for cable management, which was a nice touch.
However, I ended up returning these. The first time I tried to plug one of these into my Galaxy S8, I at first thought I might have got the wrong type of cable. It wouldn't go in. Nope- it was indeed a USB-C cable, but the fit was very very tight- enough that I'm actually concerned it may damage the port. I have several other cables from various vendors (Anker, Aukey, etc.) and none of them are anywhere near this tight a fit.

Good value large screen smartphone
2 of 2 found this helpful Nice phone for what it goes for now. Better than most 'basic' smartphones available new for similar cost.
Pros:
Huge screen, good resolution and brightness
Stylus support
Long battery life
Quite fast and responsive
MicroSD slot
Cons:
Battery not replaceable
Mediocre cameras
