It worked for us.

We needed something to boost the signal upstairs so Netflix would work. This worked just fine, and we also now have good Wifi in all the upstairs bedrooms. I placed the booster in the bedroom just above the room with the router. It was pretty easy to install, it would have been easier if it had been brand new and I didn't have to use an Ethernet cable to set it up and reset it to factory settings.
