Vortex Strike Eagle 5-25X56 FFP EBR-7C (MRAD) Reticle (SE-52504)
May 24, 2021
So worth it.
I am just starting to get into long range precision shooting, and i chose this scope to sit on top of my 6.5 creedmoor hunting/precision build. This is the most expensive scope i own by a large margin, and honestly the quality difference between this and some of my more budget optics makes me so happy i spent the extra money to get something suited for the task of shooting out to 600+ yards. My first outing with it i was able to get sub MOA ( 0.7 MOA, and i’m not going to say i’m a perfect shot) groups using factory winchester ammo, and two batches of hand-loads. It’s probably possible to accomplish the same results using a cheaper scope setup (my dad’s Vortex Diamondback Tactical 6-24 is also a great scope for the price) but i can still feel the difference between our adjustment turrets, and see a small difference in the glass clarity. My dad can feel it too, there’s a lot of little spots where the strike eagle is just better. Overall i am very happy with my current setup. You may have heard this said before, but spend about as much on your glass as you do for your rifle. I think at this point i’m a strong advocate of this logic.
