Ortofon Pickup / Cartridge MC Quintet Black S / Free worldwide shipping

A really wonderful cartridge.

Each cartridge works differently with tonearm and turntable combinations. The results I have with this cartridge may not be the same for your set up. I have a VPI Prime with the 10" 3d printed arm and on the fly VTA adjustment. I also have a McIntosh Preamp that has both MM and MC phono sections that are adjustable. I also have a 2nd 3D arm that allows me to quickly change between two cartridges. I have an Ortofon 2M Bronze, a Denon 103R on an ebony wood body and an Audio Technia AT33EV that was rebuilt by Sound Smith with the Sapphire cantilever and line contact diamond . All 3 sound great, each in a different way, but all good. The Quintet has played 5 full albums so far and I feel the sound and sound-stage the cartridge throws if superior to all the other cartridges. When I listen carefully it's like hearing more detail, more instruments, strings vibrate longer, drums are crisp and clear, you can hear the bass guitar note laying over the beat of the drum from time to time. I cannot wait until I have this one fully broken in, should be heavenly !

Great part

I broke the mirror on the right side, the dealership would not sell just the glass, they wanted $400 for the entire set up, this mirror along worked great

great collection

I love new crisp clean vinyl in the morning. I did not have a lot of Marley in my collection, so when this new collection came available I jumped on it. Great stuff!
