Simple brewer for strong coffee
The moka pot does a good job of making strong coffee. If you like strong coffee, you should consider it. It isn't espresso, but it is much more affordable than an espresso machine. You cannot set it and forget it like a drip brewer, you have to pay attention while it is brewing.
The coffee serving the manufacturer references is about 2 fl oz. A six cup brewer is good for two people.
Operation is simple. Fill the water to just below the safety valve, fill the basket full, screw it together and put it on the heat. Keep the heat on medium to start, but once the coffee flow starts coming out, drop it to low; cut it off when the coffee flow starts to sputter. The result is a good cup of strong coffee. Cleanup is simple, just throw away the grounds and rinse, no filters, no waste. I would buy it again.
